PRACTICE PROFILE

Cheryl R. Treadwell is an Atlanta attorney with over 20 years of experience advising companies and individuals. She is the founder of The Treadwell Firm where she provides strategic counsel and practical solutions to clients as outside general counsel, with a strong focus on local and international construction and engineering firms. In the event of litigation or arbitration, she leverages her extensive experience representing clients in employment matters, contract disputes, and construction defect, delay, design, and disruption claims. 


Prior to establishing her firm, she gained diverse legal experience in large and small law firms, local government, and corporate roles concentrating on employment, procurement, compliance, and transactional matters. She is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was a Notes Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. She became a member of the Georgia Bar in 2005 and has appeared in State and Federal trial and appellate courts.


In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Treadwell is certified by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution as a mediator and has served her community as a

part-time Fulton County Magistrate Court Judge since 2021.  She is deeply committed to community service and actively supports both legal and community-based initiatives.
